Miniature Aircraft's

FURY EXTREME

Finishing up the Assembly:

I've finally gotten some time to work on the Fury again. I have added a battery monitor shown in the photo below. Also you can see how I chose to route my fuel supply line to the carb. I am running an inline filter, a Dubro as I recall. I also have one installed on the muffler pressure line feeding back into the main tank. I have a header tank on the way, should be in the bird by the weekend and hopefully I can get it in the air by Sunday.

Here's a shot of the tail rotor system all finished up. I added NHP 105mm carbon blades ont he tail, it is a huge disk.! Should be plenty of tail authority with this system. If I ever pop this boom/tube, I'll probably go to a 31.5" boom and save some major bucks. The custom Extreme carbon Ultra Stiff boom is 80 bucks.... woah! Oh well, at least it came with the kit!

Assembly of the boom supports and tail rotor pushrod are very straight-forward and went together without a hitch. After finishing up the tail of the heli it was time to pull the GY401 gyro and replace it with the new GY502 I just purchased. Below is a picture showing the new GY502 installed on the heli. I installed it the same way the governor control unit was done, double sided tape against the side frame under the gyro sensor. Below is a picture of the new 502 gyro, it ought to be a great setup with the 9253 tail rotor servo.

Here she is in all her glory... well not quite, I still need to install the grommets into the canopy. One thing I didn't get with the kit and it appears to be the only missing part is the rubber channel that goes on the frame and the top of the canopy rests against it.

More to come soon!
